What is mil?

Posted December 28, 2012

Many of the custom magnets appearing in the InkHead catalog include thickness measurements in mil, which is one-thousandth of an inch.

Strictly speaking, the higher the mil, the thicker the magnet. If you’re planning to use your magnets outdoors, always opt for a magnet at least 30 mil thick.
