Nearly every technology blog I read is abuzz with excitement for this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which opens to the public tomorrow, January 6. Speculation abounds about what will be unveiled at the show, but most experts expect to see more tablet computers, more Internet-enabled devices, and the latest innovations from video game makers Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Talk about a tech fanboy’s fantasy!

CES

Speaking of trade shows, it’s time for this month’s trade show calendar, which covers the top 10 (by attendance) expos and conventions occurring in February. Note that although some shows covered in last month’s trade show calendar run into February, they will not be featured again.

National Farm Machinery Show

When? February 16-19
Where? Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, KY
What? This year’s 46th National Farm Machinery Show is the nation’s largest indoor farm show. Including new products exhibits and demostrations, free informational seminars, and Syngenta-sponsored Championship Tractor Pull, the show is bound to generate loads of excited in the 750,000 square-foot Kentucky Exposition Center. Miami International Boat Show

What? In addition to a showcase of the latest and greatest boats available commercially, this year’s Miami International Boat Show will also feature the Discover Boating Resource Center, a series of seminars that will provide both hands-on and theoretical education on boating with sessions on navigation, close quarter boat handling, and first mate fundamentals. The show takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center with satellite venues at the Sea Isle Marina and Yachting Center and Strictly Sail Miami at Miamarina at Bayside. World AG Expo

Where? International Agri-Center, Tulare, CA
What? The World AG Expo, one of the world’s largest agriculture expositions, will host over 100,000 attendees and 1,600 exhibitors at Tulare’s spacious International Agri-Center next month. Featuring concerts from country music star Blake Shelton and contests sponsored by Toyota, the show is bound to have something for almost everyone in the family. MAGIC Marketplace – February

When? February 15-17
Where? Las Vegas & Mandalay Bay Convention Centers, Las Vegas, NV
What? Dubbing itself “the foremost global gathering of fashion brands and industry insiders,” MAGIC is one of the world’s largest apparel expositions. Show organizers expects to see roughly 57,000 attendees and over 3,000 exhibitors at this February’s exposition. With exhibitors like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and XOXO, the MAGIC Marketplace is bound to be an exciting affair. New England Boat Show

When? February 26-March 6
Where? Boston Convention & Exposition Center, Boston, MA
What? What? Since 1948, the WSA (World Shoes and Accessories) Show has been the most comprehensive showcase for footwear, handbags, and accessories in the industry. The expo will see about 40,000 visitors and 1,500 vendors from all over the world. The show will feature retailer seminars as well as sponsored events occurring in Las Vegas during the show’s run.
