Although much of metro Atlanta (home to InkHead Promotional Products) has been sidelined most of the week by a snowstorm—to wit, it’s Thursday, and many of the minor roads are still covered in ice—the PPAI Expo 2011 in Las Vegas kicked off yesterday in high fashion. If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you may remember reading about the PPAI Expo in our January Trade Show Calendar or seeing it mentioned in our February Trade Show Calendar.
For the uninitiated, the PPAI Expo is the biggest event in the Imprinted Promotional Items industry, providing distributors like InkHead to meet with suppliers from across the country to see the latest and greatest innovations in giveaways and premiums. COO Jason Miller, Account Manager Jennifer Powell, and Apparel Decorations Specialist Nicole Sigman are at the lovely Mandalay Bay Convention Center, checking out exhibits from the show. Here are some pictures they’ve sent over the past 24 hours.
Pretty exciting stuff, eh? Jason, Jenn, and Nicole are on the floor again today and have promised to send over many more pictures from the show, so stay tuned!
The highlight of the Expo thus far for InkHead came last night at the PPAI Awards Dinner, where the company received honors in every category in which we were nominated. InkHead took home the Bronze Award for Functionality & Usability; the Gold Award for Technical Innovation & eCommerce; and the Best of the Best Website.
This marks the third consecutive year we’ve won the Gold in Technical Innovation and the second straight year that we’ve been named a Best of the Best website by PPAI. “This is as special as it gets,” says Jim Franklyn, InkHead’s dynamic and charismatic Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “the three pioneers of our company (CEO Chris D’Agnese, CTO/CFO Bill Cline, and COO Jason Miller) have accomplished something that has never ever happened in the history of our industry.”
Needless to say, we’re extremely honored to receive such recognition and appreciation of our peers. Our friendly and helpful staff works tirelessly to deliver a satisfying customer experience and the best products your marketing dollars can buy. After posting over 90% in sales growth in the last two years, we are looking forward to 2011.
As Jim says, “the best is yet to come.”
