The promotional products company provides 500 custom sunglasses for cyclists participating in the 2012 American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure.

InkHead is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2012 American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure event occurring on May 5, 2012 in Little Mountain, South Carolina. A series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association, Tour de Cure brings thousands of cyclists nationwide to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

As one of the event’s key sponsors, InkHead donated 500 pairs of co-branded custom sunglasses for the charity cycling event. The company also provided printed koozies that event organizers handed out to race participants and spectators at the end of the race.

Michael Ollinger, InkHead’s online marketing manager, leapt at the opportunity to sponsor the event. “Almost everyone has a friend or family member with diabetes, and so we wanted to do whatever we could to help with the event.” Caroline Nielander, Tour de Cure’s sponsorship coordinator for the event, was also impressed: “The American Diabetes Association truly appreciated Inkhead’s support of our event by not only providing a quality product but an item our riders will get continue to enjoy after the ride.”
