Lessons learned. The batteries can go in 2 different ways. I didn't know that and put the batteries in "backwards" on 80 of these. It makes the fan go backwards, which is no help at all. Someone noticed the problem and so all the batteries were reversed and it worked much better! Consider the size of the "blade"..low volume air but it does work. The feature of standing up is cool. We lost electricity used the flashlights standing on end to illuminate instead of using candles. Problems are: the tab to take the end off is easily broken making the fan light unusable. It is worth the $2 price.
