What is an Art Conversion Fee?

Posted August 6, 2010

This fee is applied in cases where our Graphics Department must convert artwork into “camera-ready” form.

  • Depending on your item’s imprint method, this means the form necessary to create screens for printing, program a laser engraver, and so on.
  • In some cases, this requires processing through a vectoring program; in other cases, it is necessary for artwork to be redrawn painstakingly by hand in order to format your artwork into a clear and beautiful vector image ready for production. This process is industry-standard and not unique to InkHead.
  • Once the conversion is done, however, we will supply you with a download of the finished art upon request . The finished art file can be used for any future imprinting jobs you may have, whether those jobs are with InkHead or anywhere else.
  • Because of the variable amount of work involved in art conversion, we cannot determine what the charge will be until we’ve received your artwork.

If you have any questions about the art conversion fee, please call us at 800-554-0127 between 9 AM and 8 PM ET.
