Memorial Day – Gone, but Never ForgottenPosted May 20, 2014 | Promotions by Theme or Event
To all the men & women of our Armed Forces,
Memorial Day approaches and our team is reminded once again that many soldiers have returned home safely from action to carry on with their lives, while a great many have not. Those who have fallen did so on our behalf. At times, the sacrifices these men and women have made for decades are beyond our comprehension.
In fact, we may occasionally fall short in relaying our appreciation for those who have given their lives to protect our freedoms. Surely such a foolhardy trait is common among those who live in freedom, but we have no intention to contain our appreciation; the truth is every branch of our Armed Forces deserves credit for our privilege to be free.
Each Memorial Day, Americans like us from every corner of the nation mark this holiday on our own unique terms. For some of us, it is one of countless instances day after day, year after year, when we remember, honor, and miss our fallen loved ones. For others, this annual observance each May forces us to recognize and confront tender feelings about a recent loss. As uneasy as it can be to face what seems like an impossibly insurmountable truth, Memorial Day provides a necessary reminder that life carries on with and without us.
This year, we wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the brave individuals who gave their lives in the line of duty, including those associated with the InkHead family. We also salute you, the active men and women of our Armed Forces, because we know you experience the agony of loss on a much more profound scale than we do, and yet you persevere and continue to protect the freedoms so many Americans often take for granted.
From the bottom of our collective heart, thank you. We promise to never take your sacrifices for granted.
