Blazing Fast: InkHead Upgrades Website for 2011 Holiday SeasonPosted October 11, 2011 | | About InkHead.com
If you make regular visits to InkHead, you may have noticed that the website is running quicker and smoother over the last few days.
Site Speed Improved by 40%
On last Friday, the site engineers rolled out enhancements to the site and its supporting database which have improved site speeds by 40%, particularly on results pages. Whether you are searching for Custom Sport Bottles or Promotional Pens, you should be able to locate the item you are seeking quicker thanks to the recent upgrades. In addition to improving site responsiveness, we made these upgrades to increase site stability and scalability. Thus, the site can handle thousands of visitors at once without seeing a slowdown in performance.
Connect with Us, Share with Your Friends
While the major changes occurred on the back-end of the system, the site engineers sprinkled in a few cosmetic alterations that you may not have noticed yet. First, when viewing product result pages, you will see that we have added key takeaways to a selection of our hottest products, making it even easier to know which items may work best for your promotion, campaign, or event.
Additionally, our top-level category landing pages (such as the landing page for Custom Bags, for example) now include Live Chat buttons, so if you know that you want a bag but are not sure which type you want, you can chat with a promotions expert right away.
Finally, we added Facebook Like, Google +1, and Tweet buttons to product results pages, so if you wish to share InkHead’s selection of Personalized Tote Bags or any of our other product categories with your social networks, it is much easier. If you love InkHead, we encourage you to use these tools as often as possible to spread the word about our services and products to your family, friends, and colleagues.
The Bottom Line
We here at InkHead Promotional Products work tirelessly to provide our customers with as pleasant a shopping experience as possible, which is why we make regular updates to our site and database. We hope that you find the recent upgrades satisfactory, but we want you to tell us. If you think we’re doing a good job, let us know!
