5 Promotional Products for the Kitchen

Top Chef All-Stars Cast

By and large, I dislike most reality competition TV shows. I can’t stand programs like the Apprentice, the Bachelor, or the Amazing Race, but for some reason, I love Top Chef. My girlfriend has fervently watched the show since the second season, whereas I started watching it regularly during the sixth season, when Chef Kevin Gillespie of Atlanta’s Woodfire Grill placed third behind the Voltaggio brothers Michael and Bryan. Knowing a handful of people that work at Woodfire Grill (one of whom was my roommate at the time), I had a vested interest in Kevin’s success on the show. That was a couple years ago, and I’m still hooked.

This season has been better than last, as the show’s producers invited back runners-up from past seasons, many of whom make up the most memorable personalities in the show’s history, to compete in what show creators have dubbed Top Chef All-Stars. The main challenge of last night’s episode required that the “chef-testants” race around Target and find all the cooking equipment they would need to prepare their dish, which turned out to be a difficult challenge for many of the chefs.

As I watched contestants Carla Hall and Michael Isabella run around a New York City Target location, I started thinking about how easy it is to find Promotional Kitchen Accessories in the InkHead catalog, which you can locate in the newly-created Promotional Household Items category. So without further ado, here are 5 promotional products perfect for the kitchen.

Anyone who has seen Top Chef knows that one of host’s Padma Lakshmi’s signature lines is “Please pack your knives and go,” delivered to the losing contestant after head judge Tom Colicchio has summarized why the chefs up for elimination were chosen. InkHead has a number of custom knives to choose from, but my favorite is the Laguiole Cheese Board With Knives, which includes 3 assorted cheese knives and a wood cutting board with trough around the edges to catch any run-off. The knives have polished wood handles, stainless steel blades, and feature the signature Laguiole bee. If that item doesn’t ignite any ideas, then be sure to see the rest of our Personalized Knives. Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the USA, which is why the Pizza Cutter would make a great tie-in to any food-related promotion you may be planning. We have pizza about once a week around my house, and an item like this would definitely come in handy. Custom Pizza Cutters
While fresh ingredients and a watchful eye can elevate any dish, more often than not, the seasoning is what holds a dish together. The Dual Spice Grinder serves double-duty, grinding pepper out of one end and sea salt out of the other, making it twice as useful while taking up half the space. Custom Pepper Grinders
Another crucial element to any dish is making sure that the correct amount of each ingredient has been included, which is why the Set Of Four Measuring Cups would make a handy gift for anyone, regardless of his or her prowess in the kitchen. The set includes a ¼ cup, 1/3 cup, ½ cup, and 1 cup measurements. Promotional Measuring Cups
Lastly, no kitchen is complete without an apron, that all-important protective layer between your food and your clothing. InkHead carries a number of Promotional Aprons, but our most popular one is the Harriton 2-Pocket 24″ Apron, a 65/35 poly/cotton twill two-pocket apron, perfect for any kitchen-related promotional event. The Bottom Line

While I have only highlighted 5 kitchen items available in the InkHead catalog, there are plenty of other options available, so be sure to see our complete collection of Custom Promotional Kitchen Accessories. Although it’s tough to say which chef-testant will take home the $200,000 furnished by Buitoni on this season of Top Chef, the class of cooking is very high, and all the chefs remaining are incredibly skilled in their trade. If you haven’t checked out the show already, Bravo airs new episodes every Wednesday night at 10 PM ET, and reruns the show just about every day, so take a moment to watch it!
