InkHead Contributes to JDRF Walk for a CurePosted October 23, 2008 | About InkHead.com
While Breast Cancer Awareness tends to take center stage during the month of October, a large number of charitable organizations have fund-raising events during the early fall. We found out about the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Walk to Cure Diabetes in Atlanta through John here in our own Accounting Department. John’s 13-year-old son was diagnosed with Type 1 juvenile diabetes just last year, and the family decided right then to participate in the walk. Their team needed to raise sponsorship funds, and so of course everyone here at InkHead (and the company itself) donated to the cause. The walk was held this past Saturday, October 18th in downtown Atlanta, and we’re all glad we could help fund research into curing this disease. John says his family had a great time participating in the walk and they hope to do it again next year! And if you’re planning a fundraiser this fall, don’t forget Imprinted T-Shirts, Custom Water Bottles, or other promotional items to help generate enthusiasm!
